Bonnie and Clyde opened on Broadway in December last year and then went on to play in Japan. Plans are for the show to come to London in 2013.
Don has written the lyrics to the Downton Abbey theme and the song, entitled Did I Make The Most of Loving You? is featured on the soundtrack album and sung by Mary Jess. Don has also put words to the theme from Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone. It has been recorded by Hayley Westenra and is called Would He Even Know Me Now?.
Recently Don has been a frequent broadcaster, standing in for Elaine Paige for 8 of her programmes while she away in New York. He also interviewed Barbra Streisand for a BBC Radio Two special.
Don received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sedona Film Festival in Arizona. This followed the showing of three of his most popular films: To Sir With Love, Diamonds Are Forever and Born Free.
Don’s new production of Dracula opens in Graas, Switzerland on August 11th. This is the show in which he co-wrote the book and lyrics with Christopher Hampton. The music is by Frank Wildhorn.
