Don’s 1972 hit song ‘Ben’, performed by the late Michael Jackson was a great tear-jerker and consolidated Jackson’s emergence as the world’s darling. Jackson himself loved the song and has several times since said that ‘I used to say / I and me / Now it’s us / Now it’s we’ were his favourite lines from any of his songs.
